Abstract: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: To assess the effects of psychosocial or pharmacological interventions for self‐harm (SH) compared to comparison types of care (e.g. treatment as usual, routine psychiatric care, enhanced usual care, active comparator, placebo, alternative pharmacological treatment, or a combination of these) for children and adolescents (up to 18 years of age) who engage in SH.
